Where We Started
Our Story
In 1986, Joe Mei immigrated to the United States with a dream. With a passion and drive, he started to learn from renowned chefs, picking up different techniques and skills he needed to establish his own restaurant. In 2001, Chef Joe was able to open up Dragon One in Glen Ellyn to share his love for food with others.
Over 20 years later, Dragon One is still thriving and serving the community of DuPage County. Throughout time, we’ve been awarded one of the top 3 Best Chinese Restaurants in several magazines like Suburban Life Magazine and West Suburban Living Magazine.
